  1. So he finally sold it, good on him. I know Marsh is getting another Explorer so at least BJ will have something to fly. I will be in your neck of the woods next week so might have to come down and have a look at it. Congrats again on the purchase. MD500 series are best helos made. Ned
  2. Nice looking E model, you should take it around to Marsh and big John and see if you can swap it for their 530F and then you will know about fuel useage

  15. Scottie, The guys I am visiting used to be in that old blown up hangar and are now down the far end of the ramp in their nice new facility. You know who I am talking about, they operate 6 x Huey IIs there. Ned
  16. Just a quick note to say that I am off to Kandahar, Afghanistan again on Friday for at least a couple of weeks. Got a great story or two lined up there so should be another awesome trip. Should also have some more great pics to show when I get back. Cheers Ned
  17. It was always great corresponding with John, his love for the industry and what he was doing was contagious. He has left a void in this industry and I for one appreciate the times we shared via email. Sincere condolences to Johns family, friends and workmates. May you rest in peace my friend and constantly watch over all your friends and family from high above. You will be missed. Ned

  20. Marlon - Sorry for not getting back to you but have been snowed under but thats not your problem. If you subscribed in January then the first mag you get will be Issue 44 which is at the printers right now. We held it back a little from the due date as its the one we are shipping to Heli Expo.   21. Linc - The EC130 was actually made up of parts from 3 different helos. They took the front cabin section of the EC120 and made it wider. They took the centre section of the AS350B2/B3 They took the tail section including the Fenestron of the EC135 Joined them all together and got the EC130. However its official designation is actually under the AS350 type certificate. Cheers
