  1. I disagree. Why change the format then? Change of command at USAACE and within a week we saw this implemented. It seems like somebody is trying to tackle the shortage from the back-end by bulk filling classes that are starting soon? We might never know why, but I don't think it is at all the same.
  2. That's not true. It's more complicated than length alone. Talk to the POC for inter-service transfers if you want more information.
  3. MI or VIP? I'm just finishing up the CAE course.
  4. Howdy, Gonna be starting the fixed wing course here at Rucker soon, was wondering if there are any active duty members of the community who would be willing to communicate with a fresh WO1 about the missions, duty stations, and roles in that world?
  5. I guess I need to change my profile picture to a C-12 now.
  6. Considering people off the street will be wearing that rank, I wouldn't expect much different than the normal private experience
  7. FQS. But seriously, feel free to PM me if you need help through your process.
  8. I'll check next time I stop by The Hangar, I imagine that's where people picked them up.
  9. You're gonna be an Apache pilot Gideon, just deal with it.
  10. Haha, my primary TAC. Mr. Adams is awesome, also glad to see he is helping evolve it for the better.
  11. If you are in honors or other hold they'll give you leave if you have it. Once your start flight school if you haven't already it won't be possible to take leave. It's just too busy. Take it while you can.
  12. Day 3, we've been down aircraft twice. Check ride doesn't move, less hours all around. Lotta pressure on URS, not enough instructors, not enough aircraft, and not enough hours.
  13. Last class just went through last week. The building is being demolished. No longer a training requirement here at Rucker. Just had pre-common core briefing from Colonel Chasteen yesterday and he also told us the plan is to get SERE graduation to move to Saturday and those who graduate to class into common core on Monday. Hopefully that pans out because I've been waiting to start common core for nearly a month following SERE. But I'm finally in so, woohoo.
  14. Yup, I was just twiddling my thumbs at B CO yesterday. Will post the status of my declining motivation
  15. You'll have your WOBC date prior to getting to WOCS if I'm not mistaken. After WOCS you have to do WOBC, SERE, and dunker before you get to common core. We graduated WOCS on 22 Feb and some of our guard class mates have started showing up this week to start WOBC next week. It really will depend on alot of things, but that should give you some idea.
  16. B CO has been telling us it's days to a week at most now between primary and advanced. The training pipeline is being optimized drastically around here. I graduated WOCS on the 22nd of February and my WOBC is supposed to start on the 9th of April. But some people started WOBC the next day after graduation.
  17. C- memeing, B+ flying and A- shitposting, which averages out to "Chaptered out because fat and PT was sooooo hard"
  18. I'm sure he'll come and post on here too about how great of an Army pilot he could be. I bet I'll have just as much fun reading it when I'm actually a pilot and he's still a washout because he couldn't even meet the minimum PT standard. Good times! The APFT is the bedrock of good soldiering. You're a soldier, Warrant Officer, and pilot - in that order. I won't waste a paragraph on you like the others, but I'll leave you with a nugget. I've worked in defense aviation for nearly 5 years. One of the key takeaways from my time around Army aviation is just how small the community is. Tread lightly.
  19. May the stars align for you young WO, and may the 64s and 47s be plentiful this harvest.
