  1. I just finished a 20 year military flying career. I have just started a utility (fire/SAR/law) job that I am very much enjoying. I like the people I work with, the missions we do, and the machines we fly. The pay and benefits are good, too. I would not change much, and am extremely blessed and happy to be where I am at. Just my 1 cent worth of input...
  2. Awww... little guy is angry. Your posts sound like someone attempting to release his teenage angst and rage.
  3. Don't insult me in a prior post and then try to take a crap on everyone else... me thinks you have a hard time outside the confines of the webs.
  4. No...not at all. Thank you. Congrats on your plethora of job interviews. You must be swell outside the intra-webs as well.
  5. Call. Locate where you want to work, and Google the contact info. I have made so many random connections by just calling and being transferred. Don't underestimate the importance of connections, and people willing to help. Save the contact info... I had forces come into play that I had connected with a year or so prior. And, give back to those that are asking for help. Just my 2 cents...
  6. Our Sea Hawks (H and F models) had floats. The Sea King had a boat hull (and floats). . . big difference.
  7. Here is a link to the pics: https://www.flickr.com/photos/37032073@N06/albums/72157683786711053 Btw, are you Reach is the SF area?
  8. Just got back from watching some of the helo action. Amazing sights and sounds. Like a rotor air show! I have some pics if anyone wants to see. Affirmed why I love helos, and am still down this road. Mud
  9. I just retired, but did the DCA from the Navy. Have a few good Army DCA buds as well. PM me if you want. Mud
  10. Anyone know where SRT helos went?
  11. Bell is going a Super course end of Summer
  12. Nice... Did we fly together? Congrats on your Army transition.
  13. I know lots of ex-Army pilots in the CG. It happens.
  14. I did 9 years in the Navy, and just retired after 11 in the Coast Guard. PM me if you want some info. Not a bad flying gig, but not perfect.
  15. No... it's a stan pipe... and that is the approach angle...not much wiggle room to yaw. Plus, that was not even called as seen until I got out to take the pics and saw it! Also, it is displaced to the side of the tail, under the horizontal fin.
  16. I have landed there as well. Pretty fun flight to replace a burnt out bulb... but only approach though...
