  1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Z8Idrl4f7Y 1. Introduction of our own designed turbocharged altitude compensation system in South Africa. (As you Rotorway Helicopter Manufacturing Co discontinued the non-reliable supercharger and replaced it with a turbocharger) 2. High altitude performance with our turbocharged engine 3. Advanced precision flying 4. Formation flying in Cape Town 5. Advanced manoeuvres in the air with the turbo Rotorway helicopter
  2. I had the opportunity to fly the awesome Gazelle Turbine Helicopter from Ashvan Badul (Badul Air Aviation) at high speed over the deserted beach. The Helicopter was built 1973 and has 5500 hours on the airframe, the turbine has been completely overhauled and is considered as new. 1775 units where built and used in the army all over the world At that time the Gazelle held the speed record of over 300km/hr. (170 kts.), she can cruise at 270 km/hr ore 150 kts. The Helicopter weighs only 1000kg (2200 lbs) and can lift another 1000kg (Total take-off weight 2000kg or 2
  3. Thanks for watching. I paid for the kit 10 years ago US$ 60 000 and a further US$ 30 000 over the past 10 years for all my testing and upgrades
  4. I have been asked many times to make a video about all my improvements and what makes my helicopter so special. I tried to make the video entertaining but with a lot of technical information Detailed information about all improvements are in the description of the video
  5. Top 10 light piston engine helicopters altitude performance, new version I am happy to read that the Rotorway A600 Turbo is doing well. I have done with my own turbo conversion now 230 hr. trouble free. But the A600 Turbo is on the right track to compete with the best piston engine helicopters regarding altitude performance. I have put together an awesome video for you to compare the Top 10 piston engine helicopters altitude performance in action. All performance according factory specification under ISA condition. https://youtu.be/SVNQS5BbpfE Enjoy and thanks for watching
  6. Governor Ha Ha , I think it spells like that. I am a pilot and not the spelling police
  7. I made a short video regarding my amazing ability to fly my RW up to 5 min. hand free without any pilot control inputs after my 500 hr. maintenance and service. This is total unusual for normally unstable helicopters. To achieve that the rotor must be perfectly balanced, the centre of gravity and speed must correspond with each other. Collective and throttle must have friction control but no Governor needed It shows again there is nothing we cannot do with our RW Please watch my video to witness the incredible performance. www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5UxV8l8wDc&feature=share For those w

  9. One of my older video but still nice to watch the building process . Building started 2007 ore 500 flying hr. ago , great learning experience with huge improvements to the turbocharged version https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oV1EJ9P7D8c&feature=share Thanks for watching

  11. Thanks for your thought , but there is more than enough power available with my turbo set up .
  12. My first video this year for you to enjoy. It is a demonstration of the ability to land in confined areas with advanced flying with my versatile Rotorway helicopter . Thanks for watching https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wmgR_wnfuRU&feature=youtu.be
  13. Thanks for the valuable comment . but don't worry in South Africa we don't need to worry about ice on lakes . Ha Ha Ha
  14. Wally . you are right . There is a Rotorway with floats available .
  15. Thanks for all comments Mast bumping can happen to all teetering rotors if one put the nose down rapidly. But on our Rotorway was never a report on the forum regarding that problem . For my video , my son checked the water depth carefully before landing. As the video demonstrate one could land in very shallow water for emergency if necessary . It was also a demonstration how versatile our Rotorway is ,but not recommended for normal flying .
