  1. For anyone wondering, I received the following reply from USAREC Special Programs and BoardS: "approx. 60 days prior to your ship date a TAC Officer will send you the information on "Blackboard". However you will not have to worry about having to do it now. You will do it at WOC as a group."
  2. Hey everyone, wondering if anyone else is having the same problem I am. Civilian WOFT "selectee" here, no prior service. I'm unable to get access to Blackboard to complete the distance learning portion of WOCS prior to arrival (I'm in a 5 week course). In order to register for Blackboard it looks like you need a CAC or a .mil email address, neither of which I have yet. Is this something that's still required? Does a civilian applicant need to worry about this - or do the instructors have you do this in the days before the class report date deadline (there seems to be a small gap between my BCT end and the PH2 Report Date)? Any guidance would be much appreciated!
  3. How much swimming is in SERE? Do they have you crawl through drainage pipes and whatnot as well? Feel free to tell me if I'm asking questions that I shouldn't be asking.
  4. Awesome, thank you. Is the swim test in lieu of the "dunker" course? Do they work with, and instruct, the weak swimmers.
  5. Just out of curiosity, what sort of topics are covered in WOBC? Did you do the 5 or 7 week WOCS? If the 5, how was it?
  6. Thank you jcurier12. Also, if anyone knows: does the flight physical expire on the date of examination, or the date of the stamp from Rucker. For me, its a 3 month difference.
  7. Selected! March ship date for BCT. How do I find my WOCS class number?
  8. Does anyone know if this will impact applications being rolled form the September board (FQ-NS) to the November board? I would think not, but with as rocky as this process has been, I don't want to take any chances and *assume* everything will go smoothly.
  9. That's a relief. To your knowledge, do you need to resubmit everything or redo the battalion board? I plan on retaking the APFT and submitting a new letter (and removing one or two, given the advice about not having more than 3).
  10. Do civilian applicants automatically get a second look? I've heard conflicting things.
  11. Hey all! I've heard conflicting information from people. Are civilian applicants who were FQ-NS at their first board automatically sent to the next board? If so, does anyone know how a recruiter would need to update a packet with additional documents and letters? My entire recruiting station doesn't believe me that this is the case.
