  1. The answer I got from the schoolhouse: You can only move HHG after you complete WOCS as a street to seater. And they will not pay for a pov movement at all for a conus pcs. Therefore, it makes more sense for me to drive the car down and then take a flight back up before I fly down from MEPS.
  2. There is a spot to place it on the same form that your essay goes on. At least there was when I did my board a few months ago. Check the sample packet that is on the warrant officer page. It tells you exactly what to write, you just have to put in your own scores.
  3. I got accepted as a a street to seater but MEPS is making me fly down to Alabama which is fine. But due to issues with my reserve unit I haven't been able to turn in any OCIE. I'll have to bring 3 to four duffel bags worth of (frankly) crap that I won't need down there in addition to what I actually need. Which made me think that it might be worth it to drive down there, leave my car at the airport for a night, fly back up, take the flight from MEPS, then drive my POV to Fort Rucker. The other thing is that once I graduate WOCS and get my PCS orders I am worried that it will take the movers a while to get the car down there. Time that I will need to move into a house. Can anyone offer any insight?
  4. It is not possible to do an initial flight physical in Kuwait because the flight clinic does not have the capability to do the corneal topography. You would have to be sent out to Kuwait city to do the topography and the clinic is not going to send you because that money comes out of a pot of money for other things such as mris that are much more justifiable and necessary. If you have gotten a corneal topography done within the last 90 days and have copies of it then you can talk to the flight clinic at Buehring who might schedule one for you. Also keep in mind that their mission is not to do initial flight physicals, it is to keep aviators current on their flight physicals who are already out there. They may simply say no. Lastly, if you have not already taken your sift test you need to take it before you schedule a flight physical. Some places may let you slide and do it anyway but per guidance from fort rucker you are supposed to have your sift done before you do a flight physical.

  6. Jkray, were you street to seat? Or is anyone who was street to seat able to confirm whether they got the PCS orders or were just told to bring the two duffel bags and then pcs after wocs?
  7. Make sure you use refresh or systane eye drops. Visine is terrible for your eyes and not approved for flight status.
  8. Good afternoon everyone. I got accepted in September and signed my contract In October after a wait for paperwork from my reserve unit(I am street to seat). I am reportingat the end of March for April's course. MEPS told me that I have to fly down with only two duffel bags and therefore can not PCS my stuff until after WOCS. My understanding is that I will only have one week to PCS my stuff into a house after WOCS. I am assuming I can have movers move my stuff from my old house upon completion of WOCS. Is everyone else in the same situation? Does anyone have any tips for finding housing?

  11. Good news for those of you who needed a DA photo--they're no longer required as of July 25th. I'm waiting on my recruiter to confirm if this is for street to seat as well or just the active duty board.
