  1. PS Im not looking to be the PIC just the camera operator. Ive gotten alot of info. on getting hours and training to actually fly the aircraft, Im hoping to get info on the actual camera operation. Thank you!
  2. jumping in with a question on this topic. I have been given the opportunity to fly with a company using the FLIR Corona 350 system in an R44. I am a student pilot and experienced aerial photog. but Ive always used the basic DSLR, position the heli, lean out the window and the get the shot method. Ive played with the computer operated system but minimally. Im having a hard time finding formal training on this and would appreciate any and all advice / leads on how to learn this.
  3. Hello All, Im a student Heli pilot who has an opportunity to transition from my current career as an aerial photog. shooting with a basic lean out the window with a DSLR format to using the Corona 350 nose mounted system. Im looking for information on formal training. Im OCD when it comes to this stuff and I like to have as much knowledge of what Im working with as I can. Any help / advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you

  6. Thank you for all the info! It has been hard....I am surprised at how many schools there are.....but how few people are willing to teach you without signing onto a 70,--- + contract with their school Ive gotten a couple of replies and hopefully one of them will work out. Thanks again to everyone who has posted and sent messages....If I havent gotten back to you yet, dont worry, I will!
  7. Hello! My name is Kayla. Im located in Houston Texas and looking for a CFI or a CFII to train me to fly. I had originally planned on attending Silver State, but my father has purchased a Hughes 269 that he will be flying down to Houston and leaving here for me to train in. If you are interested or have any information that could help me find an instructor, please let me know. I would love to discuss pricing, schedules and what my goals are and how I can reach them. Im sorry if this thread appears twice....Im still figuring the message boards out and Im not sure if my last post worked or not. Thank you! Kayla Houston, Texas
