Wassup! I am a 2LT who branched as a 70B (medical service) out of college because my vision wasnt corrected before I commissioned. I took the SIFT and scored well, and I have gotten LASIK since then. My conditional release from the reserves to go active duty just needs one more signature from USARC before it is approved. 1. Wassup! I am currently branched Medical Service in the USAR, my conditional release just needs signed by USARC and I am good to switch into active duty. However, when I branched medical straight from college, I did not have my vision corrected. I have since got lasik and the 3 month recovery is complete. I want to make sure when this conditional release gets signed, I do not have anything holding me back from switching my branch to aviation because the release is only good for 6 months. 1. Has anyone ever switched components and then their branch before? 2. Who do I call or where do I go to

Admittedly, as I progressed through the whole process as a sister service applicant I thought the entire time there would be a face to face interview with a "board" of people. I thought that I submitted my packet, once board ready I would receive an interview date, and then after the interview the results of that interview would be attached to my packet and sent for final review where it would be found Q-S, Q-NS, NS.
