Hi All, After 6 months of trying to gain funding to get my PPL (H) I've finally secured the finances. I am 23 years of age, and in need of some advice, I love flying in helicopters and decided to take the plunge and learn to make a career out of it. What is the best way to progress into a paying job to fly helicopters within the UK. I honestly don't mind what kind of job i'm doing along i'm flying. I understand the more hours the better, any advice on building hours would be great. I aim to have my PPL (H) by end of Jan 2015. Then I don't know what steps to take to further things

Im new to the forum and I am in the process of checking out a few flight schools so Ive been doing a lot of researching and reading a ton of forums lately and I went from being very excited to pursue a passion of mine, flying, to feeling like I am going to hate it or might be making the wrong career choice due to all the negativity I read from people; And not just from random people, but from actual helicopter pilots. Can anyone recommend and federal grants for training or sponsorships for helicopter add on training? I am currently finishing up my fixed wing license, with just my check ride remaining that I have fully funded on my own saving money. I am a Law Enforcement officer currently in Northeast Florida and have been for the past 11 years. I am looking to find some assistance in the funding of helicopter training due to the cost, for the reason of I would like to fly for my Law Enforcement agency and one day retire and apply to be a medical life flight pilot.. Anyone interested in a potential helicopter training location on the south side of Atlanta? Right now the only option in Metro Atlanta is out of the Dekalb-Peachtree location (KPDK). There is a proposal to start up a training location out of Peachtree City - Atlanta Regional Airport (KFFC). Would like to know what kind of interest there is in this type of training in a area currently void of such training. Both Part 61 and Part 141 training options are on the table and are in the planning stages. More information to follow as things develop but would like to to hear from potential stud
