  1. Hey guys new here, Just recently finished my Canadian CPL this past March of 19. I am endorsed on R22, R44 and B206 and am looking for the best way to get my hands on a machine for hour building. I have contacted several private owners on purchasing block time on their R44's and have 1 or two slightly interested but not fully convinced. Just wondering if anyone else has done something similar and had any good tips or ideas to get access to R44s or similar without ownership of the machine. Cant wait to be apart of what looks like a great forum! Cheers, Max
  2. I've always been curious what lessors charge for various turbine models. I read for fixed wing dry lease rates are usually around 1-1.5% of the aircraft value per month, does this rule of thumb apply to the rotorcraft industry? How does the percentage rule apply to used aircraft, does it adjust for aircraft age or is it always based on the original purchase price? I've always found the business side of helicopter operations fascinating!
  3. I live in Palm Springs area where four months of the year the temperatures are excess of 110 F; with occasional nice gusty winds blowing through the Banning Pass. I currently am flying an R-44 Raven II, and with four people on board I was thinking of leasing a turbine. What are the general hourly requirements (monthly / yearly) on a dry lease plus monthly? I thought a Bell 206L-4 would be a good ship to fly four guys with their golf clubs comfortably. Any thoughts… Christopher
  4. Looking to lease an R44 helicopter as soon as possible and can offer 300 plus flight hours in 3 months. Looking for a dry lease. If you know anyone interested please let me know. Or if you have any suggestions they will be greatly appreciated!
  5. I was wondering if some of you could post a few reputable leasing companies on this forum. I want to crunch some numbers. Must of the "numbers" so far, tell me its a terrible idea and way to much risk and money, but I just want to make sure. Looking for an R-22. I don't think I can meet 40 hours a month. At least not at first. From my understanding their is a monthly minimum of hours I need to fly. Not sure if this can vary depending on who I lease from. Thank you for your time and providing me information. Much appreciated.
  6. I'm looking to lease a R44 for some Alaska operations for this season. June to Oct. Short leases are hard to come by so I'm looking here. If you have a ship you would like to lease out or know of someone that would be interested in something like this please contact me about the details. Jason 907-244-7985 jasonposeyak@gmail.com
  7. I am looking for a lease vendor with an R44 Clipper II available in mid May through June. The business is in cooperation with an established non-flying tourist location with airport access. Lease term may expand through September with the right aircraft and features. Please contact me directly at: 1heliguy@gmail.com
  8. I run a company involved in educating local youth in aviation. We also offer helicopter flight training. We had an R22 through a friend of ours that a buddy of his owns, but he recently leased it to another company who was guaranteeing a LARGE number of hours per month due to their sheer size.. That leaves us looking to lease something as soon as possbile! We have scheduled events and I would rather not cancel these events, as well as a couple student about to start regularly scheduled training. I've looked into, but haven't really contacted companies recently, like spritzer... They told me before they had nothing in stock at the moment, but I could check back with them. If anyone knows of a place I could obtain an R22 ASAP, please respond, or even pm me.. It would be very much appreciated! Thanks everyone!
