Ok Guys! I need some advice.....I have been accepted as a Street to Seat guy for the Guard in my state. That was back in August. I was told a few days after that it would be Mid-September to hear something from a date standpoint. Well I waited patiently....then get to end of September. They WOSM told me that they were waiting till the Fiscal Year began in October. I was okay with that, as that seemed to be a viable excuse. Fast forward to 1/9/2019.....I have been waiting 152 days for some type of date. The WOSM tells me its the NGB and MEPSCOM that is having the issues. I do not unde

I have a question for everyone here. I'm currently in the Navy Reserves, have an active clearance, and am actively drilling but applying for WOFT Active Duty. I thought I was done with my packet and now just waiting for the selection board. My Army recruiter called me today saying I have to go to MEPS for a security interview. I told him I have an active clearance; I even have a civillian job that requires one. But, he says I still have to go up and basically re-aply for a clearance. Is this true? Is there anyway I can just show the Army I'm covered? I've had to go up to MEPS (which is abou

I'm new here but I am interested in applying to the WOFT program. I'm an E-5 in the Navy reserves with 6 years active and 4 years of reserve service in the books. I feel like I'm a strong candidate, but I'm only worried that I may not get the required waiver for the flight physical. I was briefly diagnosed with depression and an adjustment disorder (I self reported) in 2010. I saw a Navy doc for a few months (all out patient), and took anti-depressants, during that time and then I was fine. I've had no issues in what is now almost seven years. In 2013 I applied to Navy OCS to become an NFO, b

Quick question for the VR community. Has anyone processed a WOFT packet while overseas? Preferably on the civilian side. If so, what was the process like and how long did it take you? Was everything pretty much one stop since they fly you in or did you have to go more than once? Officers board and Battalion board done in Europe? I was MIA for a while flying around Saipan (North of Guam) building flight hours and now I'm back in Croatia finishing up my WOFT packet with a recruiter in Germany. Been working on this thing for-ev-er. According to the recruiter we're set to make the Nov. 28t

So, found out that the meps security interview was a no go. I had a bad debt (<$3000) about 14 years ago that I settled and the bank close the account. I told the interviewer this and I was apparently disqualified because of this. My recruiter thinks my only recourse is to get congress to override it. Am I insane in thinking everyone involved in this process has lost there ever loving minds? Does everybody in the military really never have a single bad debt? WTF? I was in college and stupidly signed up with a 'credit counselling' company and they settled it. I thought this sh*t was behind m
