Hey, I have recently been looking into starting helicopter flying lessons and I have been looking into Glacier Aviation Flight school in Olympia, WA. I have visited a couple times and it seems great and Mike the owner is very helpful and seems like a good guy. Of course, they would sell themselves to a prospective student who is about to give them 80k, so I was wondering there was anyone who has gone through it or knows anything about them to see if there are any downsides to the school. All the reviews I have read on here seem good as far as I can tell, but it is a big decision and I woudl

So I'm interested in learning more about rotor head/hub design so I did some searching and I find that most helicopter books only discuss aerodynamics, this is not really useful for me. I'm looking more specifically for an engineering book that discuss rotor head design. Why is there so little published on helicopter engineering? So far the only book I've found is helicopter design and data manual by Stanley J Dzik which according to the description has a chapter on rotor hub design. My main interest is learning more about swashplateless rotor hubs, Like these below. https://www.google.ch/pate

Anyone here try flying a helicopter with coaxial rotors? Feel any difference from a single rotating rotor? Haven't flown one myself but would like someone's input and experience who has.

Does anyone have any information on the following: How does the process breakdown for learning to fly different types of helicopters? If you start in a trainer (R22/R44/S300CBi/etc.), how does the progression work for larger and/or more complicated aircraft (turbines, etc.)? Is this done through formal training (schools, etc.) or OJT from an employer? Is this based on how many hours you have accumulated? Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
