  1. Maybe this can be a sticky/pinned thread? I thought it would be helpful to have a thread that has the stats of everyone who has been selected on the forum. That way, it will help answer the question, “Here are my stats, what are my chances of being selected?” So, if you get selected, add your stats here for others to see! To start, I’ve compiled a list of the members I know that have been selected in the past year or so. There’s probably some I missed. If I missed you, I’m sorry. You can post and add your stats, or you can message me, and I will input them (so as to keep it in somewhat chronological order). Posts should only be adding stats about selection. Please DO NOT use this thread to comment about a member’s stats or ask questions. PM the member, post in another thread, or start a new thread. To keep everything uniform, and easy to decipher, try to keep this format: AGE: ASVAB AFQT/GT: AFAST: APFT: EDUCATION: FLIGHT: BOARD: LORS: OTHER INFO: SELECTED: NOTE: I got all this information from other threads in the forum. If it’s incorrect, please PM me to let me know, and I’ll fix it. If you do not want your info posted in this thread, PM me and I’ll delete it.
  2. Good Evening, I'm putting in my packet for hopefully the May board. Got everything put together except for the Flight medical. My recruiter and his battalion has been struggling to find how to get the flight physical done, and so I've been waiting on that for about 3 weeks. My recruiter called me today though and said that they couldn't send me because the Army cancelled the May 2020 board. is this true? If so when's the next one? I've been hunting around this board and others but I'm fairly new here and I might have just missed it. Appreciate it, this forum's been great for getting stuff ready.
  3. So I have a question, I'm not sure how strong my packet will be. Age: 22 GT: 111 SIFT: Pending LOR: CPT, LTC, CW5 (all nightstalkers) Flight time: 15 hours simulator time Schooling: no degree; 39 hours (2.5 gpa) :/ Military: SGT, three years in as 42A (S1), Three deployments. Highest mil ed is BLC Physical: Pending I am waiting to get approved on my eyes because its a slow process over here. That is why I'm aiming for May board. What do you think my chances are? Anyone think I should try to get my GT score up? Not sure if it looks bad barley meeting that min. Thanks in advance!
  4. Good Afternoon, I didn't see a forum started for the May 2017 board so here goes: Age: 29 Degree: 90 credit hours towards Auronautics Degree with Embry-Riddle. Associates in applied science/information systems complete. GT: 118 SIFT: 64 AFPT: 258 Flight Physical: Stamped and good to go Flight Time: None really, 3 hours in Apache Sim Military: 10 years USAF LORs: Capt - Active duty B-52 Navigator/Flight Commander Chief Warrant Officer 5 - Active Duty (Unsure background at time of writing) Lt Col - Active duty F-15 Pilot/Prior F-117 Pilot/Squadron Commander Col - Pavelow Pilot/Unit Commander at the Pentagon. About Me: I'm a TACP in the Air Force and have been a JTAC/JTAC-Instructor for 7 years. Four deployments to both OIF/OEF, another on the way. Air Assault, EMT-B, SERE, Arctic Survival, Jungle School qualified. Good look to everyone applying to this board. May the odds be forever in your favor.
  5. I have aircraft selection coming up in September and was wondering if I could have a few questions answered before. I am primarily thinking 64, but I'm not sure yet. I have been deployed multiple times as a crewmember so I have some experience with having them for support. I hear that flight hours will be horrible during peacetime, as well as the community are a certain breed. Does anyone have any experience with how bad the flight hours are during peacetime in comparison to the 60 or 47? Also my wife and I are going to try and do some research ahead of time of colleges around duty stations so maybe it will help me at the time of selection since you don't get much time to think about it. There isn't any website with a list of duty stations for each airframe is there? Thank You!!

  7. Here it is, please see the below links of docs uploaded to Google Drive. You will need Microsoft Excel or Numbers for Mac users to utilize this. Two links: a .pdf explanation of this tool, any questions or comments welcome. And a link to the spreadsheet ranking tool. Hope it helps to understand where your numbers stack up against others. Let me know if I left anything out and I'll be happy to edit. You will probably want to view the explanation sheet first. Also, my original intention was for everyone to be able to edit this on Google Drive, but since that isn't working for some reason, you can dowload the spreadsheet to your computer and insert as many people as you can stand. The idea behind this is establishing a solid frame of reference between yourself and others. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3L3ncijued4a1hVRVlHQlp2Wk0/edit?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3L3ncijued4eE1mbFVwZnpkVEk/edit?usp=sharing
