mrjibbs Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Well, today i took and passed my CFI checkride. I had by far my best performance in a checkride today, nailed the ground, and the flight especially the full down, was smooth as can be!!! It is a huge relief to have that done! Quote

I bet that shirt you're wearing feels a whole lot lighter now. Where did you train at? Are you lucky enough that they have an opening there or are you on the job hunt now? Quote
Tom22 Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Congratulations! I am working on my CFI and was wondering if you have any tips on talking through maneuvers. Was the examiner looking for constant taking throughout the flight? Quote
BOATFIXERGUY Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Congratulations! It's a great feeling isn't it! Quote
mrjibbs Posted July 16, 2008 Author Posted July 16, 2008 oh yes it is! Thanks everyone. rotormandan - my school will only hire grad's with a CFII, so i am working on finishing my Instrument and II at the same time so then ill just cross my fingers and hope it all pans out. Tom22- as for any tips for talking, i would just tell you to verbalize whats going through your head. You know whats going on, you have done all this stuff 100's of times, and there is a mental process to every maneuver, so just verbalize what your thinking and you should be fine. Every examiner is different, but the main objective is to see if you can teach a student how to fly, so yeah just talk and dont stop till the flight is over. Quote
