So far I am aware of:

 

1. Missing some graphics at the top and in the posts - waiting for an awswer from Rey or Invision Power Board on the location of those css files.

2. Forum not opening from new VR site when using FireFox as browser. I think I know what is happening there. Just have to test it.

The Mark Forums Read and return to index "tab" up top is invisible, it is still there and working, however the background is now white and the text is also white.

I thought the website was slow before, but NOW, it is agonizingly slow! OMG!

Don't know if the new whatever you did stuff took up a lot of memory or whatever it is called, but it is exceedingly slower than before.

Hopefully it will be a fixable bug.

Still can't see the mark forums read and return to index link up top since the background color in the top outline of the box is no longer blue.

Just to clarify, the code I'm referring to is below, and it appears on the top of the box on the page that opens when you select the view new posts link right next to the "my controls" link. Code below, but the text to click on reads Mark forums read and return to index.

I'm only posting all this because I don't know if everyone uses that page and you may not know what I'm referring to. Can you tell I know very little about what you as the admin guys can see when you do whatever it is you do? , Yeah, I'm not so much the computer type guy.

Thanks for looking into all these things, I like the new look in the areas it has changed.

I can still see it, so either I am looking at the wrong page or the problem is on your end.

 

Edit: The site has been slow for me as well. Just have some patience while Lyn completes the site upgrades. I know it is frustrating when the site crawls like molasses in winter, but it will get better.

all of my forum headers are white also, passing the mouse arrow over it highlights the wording otherwise nothing visible.

pages are slow today, was better last nite.

Yes, that is what I'm referring to, only since the change, my borders are in white like 67 says his are, whereas yours is still blue.

I am on a mac if that makes any difference. I'm using Safari for my browser, which I think is similar to mozzilla or firefox I think??

Hmm, I'm on a Mac with Safari also. You should run software update (in preferences) to make sure safari is up to date. If it isn't then update it. If it IS up to date go to the "Safari" menu and click on "Reset Safari" choose all of the options, and click reset. This will erase all stored settings, cookies, cache, and may fix the problem.

 

I would suggest any other user experiencing this problem start by reseting their browser. If that doesn't fix the problem then please post here so that we can find a solution.

Should be able to post pics now. I had a file path setting incorrect. I also upped the limit on the size of pics allowed for upload.

Yes. That is in the plans. I am also considering creating a master home page that is something like Igoogle. One big front page that displays info in blocks, i.e.,

Most recent Job ads from all sites

Most recent helicopter headlines

Most recent company press releases

 

Prehaps even RSS feed that page.

 

Kinda like a "what is happening right now" at a glance page.

 

We are rebuilding our other 3 sites now and those plus this site (VR) will be interconnected. They will all be different sites with different communities and different info on them.......but visitors can pass through them all with one username and password.

 

I have some very ambitious plans for our piece of the online helicopter world. All it takes is time and money.......now if I only had more of each!!

I'd like to request to be able to expand the forum beyond the width of the header. My desktop is only 1280 wide, yet even at this modest setting I cannot get a full screen of VR. This is one of the main reasons I didn't go to JH, the site seems pinched. Now VR is becoming the same way.

 

I don't mind borders and banners, especially if they pay the bills. It is frustrating to have almost 1/4 of my screen be blank and unusable because my screen size has been decided for me.

 

Other than that, the other changes look good for me. Looks nice and clean. Haven't put in enough time to see if it's slow or not.

Hey Z, funny thing from today, I was on my work 'puter and did not have a full screen (LCD flat screen monitor) but here at home I have full screen (anscent tube screen monitor.) go figure.

if anyone knows how to reprogram the screen to full I/we are all ears/eyes!

As far as I'm aware, it is hard coded to be no wider than the banner at the top of the screen. Perhaps you're running a lower resolution at home than you are at work? The choice of monitor should have no bearing on it.

 

I'm not sure what the pixel width of the banner is.

The first time you hit the "Jobs" tab it takes you to the "career developement" page. From there if you click the "jobs" tab it will direct you to the right page. It only happens the first time I click the tab.

Would be nice to be able to see the number of members in the Chat Room. That feature has been missing for months now. It is real hard to catch up with and chat with the other members when you aren't able see anyone in the Chat Room.
