On the ramp at Rotors

Hey All,

 

With the DNC in town there are all sorts of TFRs and Military aircraft... these guys were lurking at Metro today! What a couple of beautiful birds!

Anyone know who has been flying the AB139 around Denver this week? Pretty cool to see that A/c in this area. Saw 4 Blackhawks and a Chinook flying over Lakewood on Saturday night blacked out. Could just make out their sillouettes as they flew over.

Not any of us, we have been wondering the same thing.. lots of ac flying around..

I fly down out of KAPA (centennial) and there are quite a few helo's down here. actually, most of the heli's are based here or flying outta here. The 139's are the Department of Homeland Security. they have anti aircraft guns on them. There are 4 - 412's and 2 - 407's over at the heli-plex just hanging out. Lots of people in military drab with fancy equipment. The Blackhawk that has been flying around with the 139's is the flying "comand post". Heard that a "small" aircraft was intercepted on the north side of Denver yesterday for flying inside the TFR. anyone know who's ?

Come on down, they'd probably find a slot for you.. one of the things i like best about being there is all the stuff that happens at Metro!! and i'm not there every day so i miss a ton of stuff.

 

On the question about the small ac being inside the TFR, can't wait to find out.. please let me know if you find out first.

 

 

I was in Moab all week burning to a crisp! There was a fire on one of the mountains there (mountain bike trail "porcupine ridge" was closed due to it). Took some photos of a couple of fire ships that responded!
