Any update on RLC & Air Log?

I'm hoping to land a position in the GOM within the next couple of months. I'm looking for any information on the Rotorcraft Leasing acquisition of aircraft from Air Logistics. Did this deal actually go through and/or are aircraft now being transferred? What effect is this having on the current pilots at both companies, ie. hiring, layoffs, etc.

As a related side note, I know the current financial meltdown seems to be affecting all sectors of the business world, aviation and non-aviation. Is this likely to cause a slowdown in the business/hiring in our industry, GOM specifically?

As always, thanks everyone for the responses.

As of 7 days ago, it was still going.

No layoffs at RLC. Matter of fact, RLC is hiring with classes every month.
