AngelFire_91
Man!!! I want the egg shaped wing flappy thing, that thing it TIGHT!!! It's amazing the amount of complexity some of these things have, and I'm sure the guys poured their heart and soul into a lot of these, only to fail. That's gotta suck. Can you imagine if some of these did work though, there might be a whole new catagory of license. Airplane, Rotorcraft, Lighter-then-air, and Flapping wing???? Witch
I've seen a lot of those machines in the past. One inspired me to build a wing out of 1X1's and tar paper. Ok, I was 11 at the time. A lot of those guys had the right idea, but the wrong concept. Of course the materials they had at the time were not as powerful or durable than the materials we have today. I'm wondering if one of those machines might fly if built with modern materials? Gyro boat? Anyone remember the Gossamer Albatross and Gossamer Condor? AngelFire_91
Hahaha, I was about 10 or so when I decided it would be a good idea to jump off a 2nd story balcony while holding on to those giant foam glider wings. Needless to say it didn't feel too good when I landed in a Yucca, and rolled down the hill for about 50 feet. But it made for a great story and laugh later.
