Hedge36 Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 The little one has been putting up with Dad being away while he works on his Big Career Change. She lives in Ladera Ranch with Mom and Stepdad and I'll be visiting around Christmas with the promise that I'll be taking her up for her first rotary flight while I'm there. Since I was previously in the San Francisco area, I need recommendations for an FBO near or at John Wayne with a reasonable rate on a four-seat ship. Anyone? Small Fry in question: Quote
DakarNick Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 Hi Hedge! I have a helmet that your little girl wore! It's working great by the way. I also want to take my g/f's kids for a ride sometime. Nick Quote
arotrhd Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 Helistream @ KSNA, 714-662-3163 - they have 3 R-44s. Prolly need to do a checkout with them prior. Or, take a trip up to KTOA & visit Chopperjess. -WATCH FOR THE WIRES- Quote
Chopperjess Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 I fly out SNA, not TOA anymore. I fly with Helistream currently. Quote
Hedge36 Posted October 29, 2008 Author Posted October 29, 2008 Jess, thanks for the input - I'll give 'em a call next week. Howdy Nick! When's your next hop? Quote
DakarNick Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 Howdy Nick! When's your next hop? Good question. Haven't applied for any loans yet, and I'm broke, so...not sure Quote
Hedge36 Posted October 30, 2008 Author Posted October 30, 2008 Good question. Haven't applied for any loans yet, and I'm broke, so...not sure I know that feeling. That said, I just stepped out of the Robbie after 1.4 of of 15KG30. But it wasn't bad. Thanks for all the input, guys - looks like I'll have some good options for the kid's first helo ride! Quote
HeloJunkie Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 Not sure if this will help but.... I provide free rides (in R44 or Cirrus SR22) through the Boy Scouts Aviation Merit Badge program or the EAA Young Eagles for kids and their parents. I fly out of KCRQ I have provided flights for over 750 kids and their families in the last 15 years for free, its something that I love to do!! Anyone interested in either, PM me or drop me an email. Cheers and safe flying Quote
