Hi everyone,

I'm was accepted in the Army WOFT program, and I was wondering which bases have regular army helicopter units. It seems like a lot of bases have national guard units. If anyone has some insight I'd love to hear it. Thanks!

As a general rule, any Army Post (Fort) that is home to one of the Army's Divisions (1st Infantry Division, 82nd Airborne Division, 101st Air Assault Division, etc.) is going to have aviation assets. Typically, Army aviation units are not stationed at Air Force Bases or Naval Air Stations, while Army National Guard and Army Reserve aviation units may be stationed at those locations for security reasons or economic reasons.

I know a few units that I have been to or heard of such as, Fort Hood, Fort Lewis, Fort Campbell, Fort Carson, Schoofield Barracks...ect. have Aviation units, check out the aviation units via your AKO, and congratulations on being accepted!!!

Thanks,

If we have any choice, my wife would like to stay on the west coast. So it looks like ft lewis is our only option. but i have a feeling I'll be placed where the army wants to place me, lol.
