Precautionary Landing In this case I'm guessing for visibility so bad he couldn't make it 5 miles up the road to the airport. Excuse me ? That was definitely a momentary chip light activation, safest thing for the community was for me to set it down right there in that wide open field. Just so happens that after the fog cleared, the damn light went out...hell of a coincidence. So, once again, safe to fly so I departed for the nearest airport so my mechanic could check it out.
