Goldy Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2339520,00.asp One might ask "why do we care" not knowing that FlightSim is the engine of several helicopter simulators....FlyIt being one of them. Quote
JDHelicopterPilot Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 That's to bad. I looked forward to seeing what improvemnts they made every 2 years. Quote

BOATFIXERGUY Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 I imagine someone else will pick up the slack under a license agreement. Quote
Justin DBC Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Heh... I picked up the pedles at the flight shop and tried to make a ghetto-simulator with that program. It's actually more realistic if you put it on easy. Fun game, but not very realistic for rotory wing unless you have all the expensive cool-guy equipment. Quote
Darren Hughes Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Hopefully it'll get picked up under licence so that it wont go away completely. I've found it useful when teaching instrument procedures like holding on NDB's and stuff like that. Sometimes if a student is looking like they're gonna go over on hours, I can catch them up on the ground with a lot of the procedural stuff on flight sim so as to save them some cash. Quote
