YMCA on International Dr.Instructor: Fire Captain Mike Dickens (OCFR),a former military aircrew officerThis basic water survival training course is designed for flight crewsand others who serve on helicopters – such as EMTs, paramedicsand law enforcement personnel. Students learn and practice skills forsurviving crashes into bodies of water.The course begins with two hours of classroom time at the Fire Academyand, after lunch, continues in the pool at the YMCA on InternationalDrive in Orlando. I just did my initial dunker training last week (different company) and man is it ever an eye opener!! Do yourself a favor... go! Some of the better non-flight training I received at Ft Rucker. The guys doing the training there (back in '07, anyhow) were absolutely top-notch.
