I know I've seen some folk on here the over the last couple of years. I grew up in Chelan, WA. I've been in San Diego and NC for the past few years and I just moved back. I'm just wondering if any of you are still here and what kind of flying are you doing?

I was flying for Medstar in Pasco in 2003, but now I am in Missoula. I landed at the north tip of Lake Chelan once.

Were you there when Jerry Trimble was? I'm in Eastern WA...wouldn't exactly say I'm flying. In a holding pattern with my CFI, looking for work...

I flew cherries in Brewster this last summer. Been to Hungry Belly in Chelan quite a few times. Yummy! It sure is pretty up there.

That's great. The Belly was my first (legal) job when I was 14. It was called Dagwoods then.

Who did you fly with in Brewster doing cherries? I'm hoping to find my way into an ag operation this year.

I flew for one of the farmers who own their own ships. If you are looking to get into some drying and even possibly some Ag work, you could always put in a resume with Golden Wings Aviation located on the Brewster airport. They are always looking for S55 pilots to train for cherries. They also do spraying in the S55's, and if everything lines up, they may be willing to at least provide a bit of training. No guarantees though.

Palmfish, was that summer of 08 or 07? I was one of the controllers who worked the FAA temporary tower for the helibase there in 07.....looks kind of familiar.

That was 08. We stopped there for maybe one hour to refuel. Met some nice folks and saw some neat machines.
