calimind
I would enjoy anybody who has done any training at these locations to share their experiances, and what the cost was once operating in the real world. I have a strong opinion and a even more bitter taste in my mouth lol.
Hedge36
Since nobody's biting, perhaps some clarification is in order. Are you asking about schools in the SAN FRANCISCO Bay Area, as well as in Florida? Because I've flown with Bristow Academy in both and have opinions along those lines. JDHelicopterPilot
Bay area normaly means San Fran. In that case, Bristow in Concord is a great school. I went there and was happy.

Well, "bay area" is kinda vague - it means different things to different people. I suspect he's got some sort of comparo going between Bristow Concord and Bristow Titusville... the uniforms are the same, but the culture is vastly different

Darren Hughes
What's the wait time these days to get started training in Bristow in Titusville and Concord? A while back I heard numbers like 2 years quoted for Titusville but I know some people that got in a lot sooner than that. Maybe the 2 years was just a dumb rumour. Titusville isn't doing Part 61 anymore - they're putting that on New Iberia and Concord, from what I understand. Concord is wide open as of a conversation I had a couple months ago with them. wait4me
What's the wait time these days to get started training in Bristow in Titusville and Concord? A while back I heard numbers like 2 years quoted for Titusville but I know some people that got in a lot sooner than that. Maybe the 2 years was just a dumb rumour. November of last year there was over a one year waiting list to get into Bristows FAA 141 program. Due to the difficulty of getting financing etc that list has been entirely erased. Currently as far as I'm aware there is no wait to begin training, and the current 141 ground school has only 5 students (typically between 10 and 16). There has even been talk of skipping a month here and there to wait for larger class sizes. I'm currently in my CFI training at Bristow Titusville and the job prospects are dim due to the small number of incoming students. The JAA and MTP programs are still going strong with heavy backlog, but they are of no consequence to me since I wouldn't be able to train those students anyway.
