Goldy Posted July 8, 2009 Author Report Share Posted July 8, 2009 Sorry I didnt update sooner, just got busy and had a lot of calls regarding this one. Turns out, it wasnt even a helicopter, it was a single engine fixed wing. Yes, it was up in Pico Canyon just south of the training area along East Piru Wash. Never did see anything in the news, I'll go search some websites. Landed on a remote dirt road, took out the landing gear, but both occupants walked away. LACO Fire Air 17 handled it, but someone forgot to tell the LA County Sheriffs Dept, lets just say they were not happy. Anyway, glad it all turned out ok.
