viking
Hi enstrom owners and others that may find this trolley as usefull as I do. I modifyed electric pallet jack that we extended in length and it slides neatly under the cross beams lifts up and away we go. In and out of the hanger at the press of a button ,it will turn around in its own length and only cost $800 to make. You could use a manual pallet jack and have a similar result. It may also suit other helicopters. No more wheels and pushing.viking Edited December 1, 2009 by viking

Mikemv
Viking, it looks dangerous to me. The front lifting point wooden blocks, do they touch the front oleo mount and oleo? Is the aircraft meant to be lifted this way? Where are the approved lifting/jack points on the fuselage? Have you run this by Enstrom? It looks like damage could easily occur. Best to you, Mike
viking
This device is a calculated peice of engineering. It carrys the load inboard of the struts and only may seem dangerous by appearance. Viking
helicopterdan
I fly an Enstrom 280FX. We built a helicopter pad and hangar on the owner's property. We slightly sloped the pad downwards so that water will run off, but also so that the helicopter very nicely rolls out of the hangar with little effort using the ground handling wheels. To pull the copter back in is a breeze. We have an electric winch with a remote, I connect it to the back of the rear skids, pop down the ground handling wheels, and pull down on the tail. Very easy, very inexpensive.
SuperPilot
Looks a little over engineered for an Enstrom. Looks like it could lift a Huey.
