Just wondering if the touch screen holds up (use with gloves, rain etc.) and how the unit is all around for ruggedness and reliability. I have heard that the screen is way harder to see then the 496. clay Posted March 30, 2010 Report Share Posted March 30, 2010 I have the 510 (dont need the taxi diagrams and AFD) that I fly with in the Gulf, and love it. I went from the 296 to it, and have thoroughly enjoyed it. fine to read for me in the sunlight, although I dont fly with gloves, so couldn't tell you how it will do with them. takes a little getting used to coming from the 296, but worth the switch I think.
