Karl Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 There's a new Helicopter show on the History Channel tonight, Thursday. It's on one of the Modern Marvels.Karl Quote
67november Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 It's on in Minnesota at 7PM central time Quote
Inferno Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 It was an OK episode. Very simplistic, but still good. The bit about Rotorway made me go though.... Quote
adam32 Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 It was alright...the previews made me think it was going to be more on the history, design, etc of helicopters. And they spent WAAAAY too much time on the Robbies and Rotorways!! Quote
Inferno Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Ooh, here comes the robbie hate. Angry they didn't talk about Hiller? They spent half the show talking about Black Hawks and its variants... No real discussion was made about how helicopters fly. And the bit about UAVs at the end was useless. My favorite bit was the Robbie and Bell part. Quote
Lindsey Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Half the time talking about Blackhawks? I'm so there. Quote
cherminator Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 You can also watch it on Youtube.com if you missed it. Quote

No 47's, MD's, Enstrom, Chinook/Vertol or Eurocopter either. The 333 UAV wasn't bad, the other thing was cool, but wasted time in this show. And yeah, they should have at least mentioned Hiller, I mean Stanley Hiller built and flew his first helicopter at 19 years old! Quote
Mungo5 Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Now there's a cushy number.. flying green Bell frames from the factory to the Edwards & Assoc factory.. Nice. Quote
Hover225 Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Would've been nice to see EMS represented! :) Quote
