Helicopter show History Channel

There's a new Helicopter show on the History Channel tonight, Thursday. It's on one of the Modern Marvels.

It was an OK episode. Very simplistic, but still good. The bit about Rotorway made me go though....

It was alright...the previews made me think it was going to be more on the history, design, etc of helicopters. And they spent WAAAAY too much time on the Robbies and Rotorways!!

Ooh, here comes the robbie hate. Angry they didn't talk about Hiller? They spent half the show talking about Black Hawks and its variants... No real discussion was made about how helicopters fly. And the bit about UAVs at the end was useless. My favorite bit was the Robbie and Bell part.

No 47's, MD's, Enstrom, Chinook/Vertol or Eurocopter either. The 333 UAV wasn't bad, the other thing was cool, but wasted time in this show.

 

And yeah, they should have at least mentioned Hiller, I mean Stanley Hiller built and flew his first helicopter at 19 years old!
