edspilot Posted May 17, 2010 Posted May 17, 2010 To All of the Young Eagle Pilots: I understand that when you fly in a Young Eagle event you are to only load and unload when the engine is off. Do you really have to shut down for each flight? That makes it very hard to get very many flights in during the day. Just wondering as I have been asked to take my helicopter out to one of the regional events. Thanks, edspilot Quote
clay Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 I did them up in Denver a few years ago, good fun. you DO have to shut down to load and unload because of the insurance, and also you have to be a member of EAA to provide these rides. the membership was paid for by another pilot for myself, but it still had to be done. it was worth it. edspilot Posted May 18, 2010 Author Posted May 18, 2010 Clay: Thanks for the info. Yes, I am already a member of EAA. I was just hoping there was some waiver for helicopters. Thanks again, edspilot Quote
