Chip light

Had the chip light come on pulled lower mag plug, no chips just a fine paste you could see magnet through, cleaned plug hovered for 1\4 hour no indication, returned to shop pulled both plugs no contamination drained oil over night, no show of metal, re filled hovered for 5 min CHIP light comes on, pull box & removed top, sent for re build $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Yep the 500 2114.6

 

Make sure the latest spec oils used in boxes think 626 but check! the older oil was not up to heavy work I am told, was an expensive job. but hey you cant take it with you.

Not a good day to day either just heard a friend with Enstrom 280 has vibes in pedals and noise 800ft puts it down and tail box to hot to touch loads of metal on inspection ( NO Chip light fitted to this model)
