Whistlerpilot Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Check out this unique helicopter point of view. Shot at locations near Vancouver BC. Some of the landings are pretty technical, low timers don't try to pile rocks under the skids! He had the passenger get out while holding power and build the cairn. Quote
Whistlerpilot Posted November 27, 2010 Author Posted November 27, 2010 Another video by the same pilot he made for a KD promo contest some years ago. Quote
Trans Lift Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 That is a cool video. Clever stuff! I gotta get me one of those GoPro's. Quote
diverturnedpilot Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Very Cool. Beautiful scenery!! It took me a second to figure out how you were getting the camera angle with such a smooth sweep around the aircraft. DUH!! I guess us old guys are a little slow on the up-take with the new hi-tech gadgets. Quote

Goldy Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Cool shots! That camera makes for a great tip weight. I love the R22 stealing the pot off the table. I wonder how many takes that one took?? Quote
crashed_05 Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Where did they hide in the first video to stay out of the shots? Quote
ABarnes Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 Where did they hide in the first video to stay out of the shots? Easy. They just spun the blades by hand and walked away with the camera recording. Then cut the walking away parts out when they edited all the clips together. Quote

But, I wasn't there so it's just a guess.Chrisp.s. I just read the notes under the video, it implies that he ran and hid. Quote

Too bad the cam couldn't stay there in flight. View from inside a hurricane. Happy flying. Quote
