Fractional Ownership on a Bell 47G2 (or Enstrom)

Recommended Posts

We are looking for one or two partners (total of 4 people involved) to purchase a later model Bell 47G2 helicopter (or an Enstrom F280) by late summer of 2005.  Not etched in stone either way, although I am leaning more towards the 47, but it will be dependent on partnership interest.  We are located in the San Francisco Bay Area (South Bay) in California, and would like to keep the bird close by.  It would also be nice to piggy-back with someone who has a hanger at some point, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

The bird (if a 47) will have just come out of a thorough "1200hr. Inspection" and will have a new engine, new paint, a fresh interior, and some new instrumentation.  If we go the Enstrom route, we will be looking to purchase a recently overhauled bird as well.  We would like maintenance to be a non-issue for a while.

The total cost of the aircraft will be between $100,000 - $130,000.  However, with this being a fractional ownership agreement, the cost per person will be between $25,000 - $43,000 (depending on the number of partners).
