Just a bump to thank the VR members that turned out in the cold today. Felt like 40 degrees, but we still had 60 people show, about 10 of which are on VR.

It was a great flying day for me. Flew the R22 this morning, had lunch at the PHPA event, and then a flight into Hollywood in the B206. I kept looking for the governor switch on the 206 and the N2 gauge in the R22....sooner or later I'll get those figured out!

I left early as the weather was getting a bit sketchy for my return flight. The BBQ burgers were excellent. It is really easy to fly into KBUR with a helicopter. I expected an ordeal starting with clearance delivery. I made my request in the first transmission, I was immediately cleared for takeoff and cross the RWY 08. I had to tell them that I needed another 2 minutes to warm up. They gave me another frequency. I called and was immediately cleared for departure. Susie expedited as there was a Southwest jet on 3 mile final.

Rick & Susie- Good seeing you guys again! I should have told you our "normal" departure from the taxiway. BUR and VNY both do a good job of letting helicopter traffic work around the normal big iron.

See ya at the next one!
