Hey Everyone -

I do a lot of school landing and static displays for kids here in California so I have the drill down with the various cities and the DOT approval process. However I have been asked to do my first landing in Phoenix Arizona at a school there. I have written approval from the School District however I can not seen to find out anything about what else may be required to land at the school.

The school is inside Phoenix City limits but outside the PHX Class B airspace. I even talked to a PHX PD Police Pilot at DVT about it and he had no idea if anything else was required.

I am hoping someone here has done it or can point me in the right direction without me having to may 500 phone calls to every givernment agency in Phoenix!

Thanks in Advance!

no experience with Phoenix... but my list would be City Government first... alot of times they have ordinances about helicopters landing inside city limits and you may need a conditional use permit.

Second would be the police department itself as a heads up.

I'd follow apisguy's advice... However, you could also talk to Native Air or PHI since both provide life flight services here in the valley and they should be able point you in the right direction...
