rick1128 Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Anyone else going to the Robinson April 2011 safety course? First time going for me so should be interesting. I went in January. It was definitely an interesting course. You will get a very good handle on the HV curve. As Tim Tucker will show how it is developed. Once you understand the process, the HV curve is quite understandable. I got to fly with Simon Jones. We did just about every type of auto rotation imaginable. Since we were in a Robinson ship, we did a full down auto at the end of the flight. Lunch is provided for the first 3 days. Typical California sandwiches, lots of rabbit food and a little meat, but not bad over all. Plus there some good soups too. All in all the course was well worth the total cost to attend. The only thing is that I wish I had know that the course counts as a CFI renewal course. If I had I would be attending in April. From what experienced,in my personal opinion, all CFIs need to take this course prior to starting to instruct. Even if they have never flown a robbie. A great deal of good information was covered. Temps are in the 80's and we still have snow on the mountains from all the snowstorms early in March. Can't beat LA right now. Quote
