r22butters Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 Just send a resume to ANY job posting you see. You have around three times everyones minimums! You'll get to fly for MONEY! Quote
Trans Lift Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 (edited) Yes he did. Maybe if you stop posting on here and call into a few places you won't have to "fly for food". Please don't insult the rest of us professionals either by working for free.... You should have no issues finding a job with your hours! Edited April 13, 2011 by Trans Lift Quote
Goldy Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 Where in So Cal are you? What type of flying did you do in the past? Quote

Niteflyr407 Posted April 14, 2011 Author Posted April 14, 2011 I know it seems like it would be easy to secure employment with the Aviation Experience I posess.I have sent dozens of resumes, attended Job Fairs, While acknowleding my credentials the majority of employers have indicated a preference for more recent experience, the cost of remaining current is prohibitive. In response to Goldy, My Helicopter Experience includes CFI, Tuna Boat,GOM,Alaska,Tour Pilot Kauai and Maui,Fire Suppression,Security and a short stint Logging.Helicopters Flown B-206L-L1,HU-269-369,AS350D,B-212-412,B-47-D-G3B1,UH12C, BV-107. I live in Nuevo near Perris in Riverside County. I would really prefer to stay in SO-CAL but having spent the majority of my Flying Career in other states have only recently begun networking with pilots in the region To all the Low Time folks, I know that many of you like myself are Civillian Trained and have spent a great deal of time amd money, worked hard and made great sacrifices to build the experience necessary to compete in this industry. I have always made it a point to "Pay It Forward" and support the aspirations of younger less experienced pilots as mentors in the past have for me. I have no doubt that my efforts to return to this profession that I so enjoy will succeed and I wish you all the best. Good Luck Fly Safe Quote

Have you tried the "entry-level", "no previous turbine required" places like Temsco, or Papillion, just to 'get current' working a season? If a guy with your experience cannot find work, just because he's a little "out-dated", then the rest of us low-timers are screwed! (especially the ones who haven't flown at all, in a while) Quote
