new to the forum and new to helicopters

Recommended Posts

Considering the current state of affairs in the world economy on top of the history of making it in this business I would recommend against taking on this career move especially with a family in tow. Having said that, I also understand the drive that can build within oneself when it comes to the desire to fly helicopters. If you elect to pursue this don't jump in all at once! Work towards the private preferably without loans and continue to monitor the industry as you do so. It things start to look promising then pick up the pace if not then stay on pace or bail out with as minimal loss as possible. Even if things pick up in the industry be aware this will be a tuff row to hoe! Don't allow yourself to chase a dream at the expense of the well being of your family. We all like to believe that nothing is impossible, but some times we just have to be realistic. Even with the personal drive, commitment and resources an individual can lay on the table it may still not be enough to overcome a hard to break into industry within a worsening economy. Good luck either way!
