Pilot Finance

I'm a student at 702 Helicopters in Las Vegas, NV.

I just wanted to alert everyone to the SCAM that Pilot Finance is attempting to pull on everyone who applies. First off, the company is BROKE. They are doing nothing but collecting everyone's personal and banking information. They do NOT give out loans. With a credit score of over 750 and ZERO debt, they not only refuse to give details of refusal, but are VERY rude about it as well. Nancy, the person you speak with is anything but nice to the people who call. She's one of the rudest people my wife and I have ever spoken with. Even 702 Helicopters is now telling their prospective students to beware of this company, after numerous perfect credit applicants were denied for no reason.

Again...this company is broke and they are only collecting information that they sell to other companies. Please do not get scammed like I did.

DEVILS ADVOCATE

First let me say, I have nothing to do with Pilot Finance. I know who they are and what they do, but have never done business with them, nor spoken to anyone from there. I do know and have met the nice folks at 702 helicopters.

Second, I appreciate the public service announcement, but in reading your accusations, the objective side of my brain wants to know more before rendering judgement.

Based on your strong, emotional statement, what do we know?

a. You have good credit and are debt free.

b. You applied for a loan and were denied.

c. You feel Nancy is rude.

d. You are mad and want to give them a public thrashing.

The opinions in your post are very strong, in fact, they are borderline accusations of criminal acts. Just so that we are aware of the facts that substantiate your statements, here are some questions:

"I just wanted to alert everyone to the SCAM that Pilot Finance is attempting to pull on everyone who applies........they are only collecting information that they sell to other companies." - How do you know this? Is there proof? What is your source? Is it in fact a scam, or illegal, for this company to sell collected contact information?

"First off, the company is BROKE" - How do you know this? Is there proof? What is your source?

"They do NOT give out loans." - They never give out loans? How do you know this? Is there proof? What is your source?

If you feel you have been wronged, and want to share your experience and your dissatisfaction as a "buyer beware", that's one thing. Making public accusations without supplying your evidence or sources is entirely another.

Do not get me wrong, I am all for exposing scammers. But when you actually make public statements accusing someone, or a company of possible criminal acts, those statements should be backed up by hard facts, evidence, and sources. Otherwise, you run the risk of being sued for libel.

I have received a loan from Pilot Finance in May. They are NOT broke, they DO give out loans. I received mine with a score of 650. I too have dealt with Nancy and she was very helpful and friendly. The whole process was actually very easy and I can definitly recommend Pilot Finance.

Just because you didn't get approved, doesn't mean they are a scam.

In my experience you should view posts that serve as a warning away from any product or service with a skeptical eye, when they are a user's first (and often only) post. Same applies for people who register and then post once in defense of said product or service.

The great thing about this internet... it's FULL of information.

The bad thing... most of it's wrong. ;)

I'm sorry you had a bad experience, but you are making some strong accusations against them! I have a loan through PF and everything has been good so far. They approved me in a day and always reimbursed my school for my training within a few days. The interest rates are high but that's expected with no collateral. They also call this type of loan something like a "79" in which you will pay the full amount of interest, even if you pay it off early.
