Shaun
I've been going nowhere fast for 8 years, and it is absolutely worth it to me. Really that is a question only you can answer for yourself. No one here can tell you how much suffering you should endure in the name of helicopters. Azhigher
Sounds like you either need to double down or cut your losses. If you can see yourself doing something else and being anywhere near happy, might want to consider that. On the other hand, if you're already through CFI you're pretty well invested... Is it going to be worth it to you? For me, every time I thought about an alternative to flying it filled me with dread. Flying is the only thing I wanted to do, so thats what I do now. aeroscout
If you are struggling to earn a living as a CFI, you might want to look at a second job, and instruct nights, and weekends, until you have your time built.
TXFirefly
As the others have already said... What's it worth to you? I left a good job, sold my house, cashed out my 401K and worked 2 jobs 6 days a week as an instructor for 2 1/2 years just to scrape by below the poverty level. Now, I'm in the gulf and couldn't be happier.
