Special Ops and LAPD ships all over Downtown LA tonight. Reminded me of Blue Thunder watching 4 OH6's and a Blackhawk flying 100 feet between buildings...

Cool stuff

Monday about 5 I noticed on my way to the Kings game a Blackhawk and 4 or 5 MD's chasing it over downtown... very strange... hope they had the new frequencies...

I bet the local moonbats were going crazy having little black helicopters fill the skyline.

The end results aren’t that cool.

This is part of the new Police State being setup under the pretext of protecting the people. The public is being conditioned to except this Police State over freedom. Under the new Homeland Security provisions, Presidential Executive Orders whether Constitutional or not become law simply by fiat (decree). Our Congress is bypassed. The idea of using the military to police the American people without Congressional authorization was long held as unconstitutional under the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878. We now have the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012.

I thought someone said they were shooting a movie. I can't get very worked up over that. Now if you get me started on DHS and TSA, I will initiate buildup to an aneurysm.

They have done those types of exercises for decades, doubt there is anything more to it.

This hasn’t been around for decades, not at this level. This is far from business as usual.

This escalation of military presence and the final dismantling of Posse Comitatus began with Bush’s signing of NDAA 2007. The last nail was place into the Posse Comitatus Act with Obama’s signing of NDAA 2012. A September 2008 article in the Army Times was first to make clear plans for increased military presence here at home.

“3rd Infantry’s 1st BCT trains for a new dwell-time mission. Helping ‘people at home’ may become a permanent part of the active Army. Sept 2008”

“Beginning Oct. 1 (2008) for 12 months, the 1st BCT will be under the day-to-day control of U.S. Army North, the Army service component of Northern Command, as an on-call federal response force for natural or manmade emergencies and disasters, including terrorist attacks.

“It is not the first time an active-duty unit has been tapped to help at home. In August 2005, for example, when Hurricane Katrina unleashed hell in Mississippi and Louisiana, several active-duty units were pulled from various posts and mobilized to those areas.”

“But this new mission marks the first time an active unit has been given a dedicated assignment to NorthCom, a joint command established in 2002 to provide command and control for federal homeland defense efforts and coordinate defense support of civil authorities.”

I just know I left my tin foil hat around here somewhere!

Well, he did mention the DHS, that gets my conspiracy antenna up. If the TSA gets tied to it directly, my blood will start to boil.
