JCM5
My question is regarding employment opportunities with special issuances. Do employers see, and/or request the details of special issuance medicals and if so, would a special issuance medical have a negative effect on a pilots employment opportunities throughout his/her career? For those with first or second hand experience on this subject I'd appreciate some input - thanks. JC

JDHelicopterPilot
I have one. Never had an issue. As long as you have a valid medical certificate then you should be good. I will say, my current employer was the first that I have worked for which required a pre-employment physical. That was a non event and I had all my documentation with me related to my special issuance and it never came up. I wouldn't worry much about it.
