brettjeepski Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Anyone see this new Helicopter handbook yet? Thoughts? http://www.faa.gov/library/manuals/aircraft/media/faa-h-8083-21.pdf Found on websitehttp://www.faa.gov/library/manuals/aircraft/ Quote
JDHelicopterPilot Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 There is a post about this on here already. It is not being sent to print (just online for now). It seems the FAA is already working on a revision as there are a number of mistakes in the current one. Quote
Aviation Audiobooks Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 I just saw that ASA is going to release a printed version in June. Check the link below. http://www.asa2fly.com/Helicopter-Flying-Handbook-P1704_product1.aspx We're releasing the audiobook version in October www.aviationaudiobooks.com 1 Quote
jjsemperfi Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 I really like it. Don't tell the FAA but it seems like a real pilot revised this edition. The changes are minimal, but I really like the new illustrations, much better than the last edition. Quote
