Pohi Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Interesting idea. Personally i'd rather a helicopter that was not inverted, that one just rubs me the wrong way for some reason. I'd bet one not inverted would have almost the same volume of air circulation than this one, and look better at the same time. Even have the tail rotor work as a directional fan :-) But, since I have not built my own fan, i can't talk that much crap about this one Quote
gary-mike Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Looks like he used an RC model for it. I agree, it would look better upright, it would probably be harder to build that way though. Quote
Pohi Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 I have been thinking about it for a while. I think that the reason it sort of disturbes me is that in any helicopter or helicopter company I will likely ever work for, an inverted helicopter is what happens right before the crash and fatalities. Quote
Firepilot Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 (edited) Here are some fans I thought were pretty clever. They're in an Ace Hardware in Tucson, AZ (6959 East 22nd Street) Edited June 24, 2012 by Firepilot 1 Quote
