Also Id be curious just to hear about how training works for new hires. We do a lot of similar type flying. Trans Lift Posted September 19, 2012 Author Report Share Posted September 19, 2012 Yeah thats a training area for linemen (not our company's). There are all sorts of structures and lines, great place. We dont do initial training there, just the platform stuff. Initial training involves a lot of groundschool and learning about the wire environment, structures, components, etc. Then some flying in the 500 learning how to do patrols and comprehensive visual inspections.
