Rotortramp Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Sportys "so you want to fly helicopters" always comes up first with my google searches. Curious to see if anyone has had a good experience with King, Jeppesen, ASA, or any others that aren't as mainstream. Im looking for a thorough course up to cfii, if thats even possible, so im not sure if that eliminates any that are just for the pplh addon minded. Quote
eagle5 Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Mauna Loa Helicopters has one,...I hear its pretty good? Quote
Helipilot PTK Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 I did King school PPL(H) coarse, I liked it, it gets corny at times but gets you the information you need to pass your FAA written test. I scored a 100% on my written test, I would definitely recommend King schools. Quote
cryesis Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 i used the king private written without the helicopter add on......didn't have the time to wait for a dvd to come and private pilot fixed wing was available online. It was real good, like said above it was corny at times but some of the stuff actually helped me to remember some things on the test, I scored mid 90s Quote
Nomad110 Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 I did the King PPL(H) and scored a 100% on the written. I really enjoyed their process. Quote
