Chuck Aaron doing what he does

2,500 hours in Bolkows and I never had the balls to try any of that stuff. Tempted, a couple of times - I always thought it would do a pretty nice roll. Ahh, if I only knew then what we all know now...

Couple of observations:

  • Cyclic displacements are pretty amazing
  • I'm surprised Chuck takes riders along
  • No parachutes?
  • No gloves, Chuck?

It all seems pretty casual, just another hop around the pattern, eh?

He was at Boeing Field in Seattle for SeaFair weekend - I got to walk around the helicopter and check it out close up, but unfortunately Chuck hadn't arrived yet. I was hoping to talk my way into a ride :-D

I'm not sure a parachute would help much... :P

Probably not. I was just thinking of what regulatory requirements there are concerning aerobatic flight and whether certain ones are waived for helicopters.
