Nearly Retired
2,500 hours in Bolkows and I never had the balls to try any of that stuff. Tempted, a couple of times - I always thought it would do a pretty nice roll. Ahh, if I only knew then what we all know now... Couple of observations:Cyclic displacements are pretty amazingI'm surprised Chuck takes riders alongNo parachutes? No gloves, Chuck? It all seems pretty casual, just another hop around the pattern, eh? He was at Boeing Field in Seattle for SeaFair weekend - I got to walk around the helicopter and check it out close up, but unfortunately Chuck hadn't arrived yet. I was hoping to talk my way into a ride :-D

Nearly Retired
Probably not. I was just thinking of what regulatory requirements there are concerning aerobatic flight and whether certain ones are waived for helicopters.
Helios
Unless I missed it, he seems to always do rolls to the left. Is this an aerodynamic reason or just personal preference by him?

Do you mean other than keeping the advancing blade on the outside of the loop, and the retreating blade on the inside?
