50convert Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Hey everyone,  I've been lurking for a while, but I thought I would share my experience so far as well.  The whole process has taken almost 8 months now between scheduling all the tests and waiting for dates to arrive. All in all it's been a hell of a challenge, but I've stuck with it. Today was the final piece of the puzzle...the SIFT test.  The good part was that the packet was accepted for the May board in time, but I had to do the test today to have it considered. I had already taken the AFAST and I believe that was why I had an opportunity to get it done. My packet so far: Age: 32ASVAB: 96 AFQT 138 GTAFAST: 140SIFT: 68APFT: 300FLIGHT TIME: 270 hours, 15 rotor, instrument rating, 10 multi-commercialLORs: CAP squadron commander, Executive at my workplace who was a former Marine, Helicopter chief flight instructorBOARD INTERVIEW: 74/75 I found the SIFT was considerably more difficult than the original AFAST. besides the main difference of being on a computer, it seemed the math section especially had been changed quite a bit. Being out of school for...a few years now...some of that was pretty hazy. The spatial recognition was also a bit more challenging. I did enjoy the first 2 minute section where you identified the one object that was different. Overall though, I think this test was due for an update, and this was a positive move. Well, with just over 4 more days to go until the big day, I wish everyone the best of luck! Quote

My packet is on the May board as well, I was non-select for the January board, but have high hopes for this one. Â I wish I would have found this site sooner, there's some good scoop on here. I was at work and everyone wanted to know why I was saying holy sh*t and dropping f-bombs. I was called the next day by an officer from battalion. 1 Quote
