Nomad110 Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 Hey guys, Can someone tell me what the part number is for Eurocopters special power plug? I want to adapt it to make make an automotive style barrel connector that will be 24v. I just need the plug it-self so we can wire up a short pigtail converter. A part number and the price would be awesome. Here is a photo of the plug being used to charge a start-stick: http://www.start-stick.com/as350-charger-cable/ Thanks! 1 Quote
Nomad110 Posted June 14, 2013 Author Posted June 14, 2013 Okay well it seems no body knows either... My solution was to use Monster Audio speaker banana style plugs. They work great as long as you don't accidentally flip flop the positive and negative. Still looking for the real thing though if anyone knows of it. Thanks Quote
500E Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Do you mean the AMP conector or the EC end. What do you mean as barel conector (cigaret lighter)? Quote
Nomad110 Posted June 15, 2013 Author Posted June 15, 2013 Do you mean the AMP conector or the EC end. What do you mean as barel conector (cigaret lighter)?I mean the end that plugs into the special aux power port on the avionics pedestal of the Eurocopter. And, yes I meant automotive style cigaret lighter for the other end. Sorry if I used confusing terminology. Quote

That's the oddball connector used on the Eurocopter AS350, EC-120, EC-130, etc. You'll have to do some research if you want to find the generic (non-eurocopter) replacement and part number. Interested to fine out what Eurocopter charges for that connector. Update: Eurocopter pricing: item #10 connector, two pole, female $445.78 (p/n ECS0776AR28 replaces 6410M) item # 50 connector, bipolar, male $295.00 (p/n 555A) The older Chadwick Balancers had an optional adapter with that type plug (item #50 p/n 555A) for tracking and balance work on the AS350 Edited June 21, 2013 by iChris Quote
Nomad110 Posted June 20, 2013 Author Posted June 20, 2013 It seems PPRUNE had a close answer with a part number: http://www.pprune.org/rotorheads/517050-eurocopter-auxiliary-power-plug.html Thanks Quote
