rwfoxjr Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 I'm being told by my recruiter that I can't do my secret clearance interview until after I pass the SIFT, which I take on 11 Sept. Is there any truth to that, or can that be done before the SIFT is taken? Thanks in advance on the replies! Quote
afarcryfromsane Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 That may or may not be true. You need to go talk to your S-2 shop in your battalion about it. Depending on your background, it could take a couple months to get a clearance back. I was lucky and already had a Non-Determined Status and it was immediately approved. You might have the same situation. Only your S-2 can tell you. Go see them and they will square you away. Also, I do not believe there is any interview required. You will fill out an incredibly detailed form, submit fingerprints, and that is about it. Quote
